The following points should be noted during slurry pump maintenance
(1) The bearing water pressure and flow must meet the specifications, and the tightness of the packing should be adjusted (or replaced) at any time to avoid slurry leakage from the shaft seal. Replace the shaft sleeve promptly.
(2) When replacing the bearing, ensure that the bearing assembly is dust-free and the lubricating oil is clean. The bearing temperature during pump operation should generally not exceed 60–65°C, with a maximum of 75°C.
(3) Ensure the motor and pump are coaxial, and that the elastic pad in the coupling is intact and correctly installed; replace it promptly if damaged.
(4) Ensure the pump assembly and pipeline system are installed correctly, firmly, and reliably.
(5) Some parts of the slurry pump are wear parts. During daily use, pay attention to the wear condition of these parts and repair or replace them promptly. During repair or replacement of slurry pump wear parts, ensure correct assembly and reasonable clearance adjustment to avoid tight friction.
(6) The suction pipeline system of the slurry pump must be airtight, and attention should be paid to whether the suction port is blocked during operation. The medium handled by the slurry pump often contains solid particles, so the screen placed in the pump sump should meet the particle size requirements that the slurry pump can pass, reducing the possibility of large particles or long fibrous materials entering the pump body and causing blockage.
